Hello world.
For the site’s first blog post, I wanted to share my most recent piece of work. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, I have been as resourceful as possible. This is a small scale project from home. These pieces are considered a “triptych”, which is just a fancy word for three pieces that are to be displayed side-by-side.
The first block is God the Father: omniscient, wise, and kind (Romans 11:6).
The second block is God the Son: Jesus Christ, in his human form. My goal as I pursue my Christian paintings has always been to alter Jesus’s image to a broader audience. Someone who everyone can find a little bit of themselves in, but also one who was not recognized in a crowd (Matthew 26).
Third and last block is God the Spirit, represented by a dove, which is a gift from our heavenly father (1 Corinthians 12). I try not to overthink the complexities of the Triune God, and instead, lead by the spirit, apply paint to canvas.
I hope you enjoy.
